Explained: How cases in UP, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have doubled after relaxations in lockdown
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: India's tally of COVID-19 cases has topped the 1.5-lakh mark with the death toll mounting to over 4,300. With the country reporting over 6,000 cases for straight days, it also entered the list of the 10 countries which are worst hit from the deadly virus.
After the lockdown restrictions were eased and inter-state movement allowed, the confirmed cases in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have more than doubled.
In Uttar Pradesh and Madhjya Pradesh, the number of infections has gone up from close to 3,000 on May 4 to over 6,500 and 7,000 respectively.
