Chhattisgarh COVID: Raipur lockdown comes into effect from today - What's allowed, what's not
Raipur: In an attempt to stem the rising cases of coronavirus, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to impose a lockdown in the Raipur district with effect from April 9 to 19. The administration has declared the Raipur district as a containment zone and restricted several activities from 6 pm on April 9 till 6 am.
Addressing a press conference on April 7, Raipur District Collector S Bharathi Dasan said the district will remain a containment zone from April 9 till April 19.
"Keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation, Raipur district is being declared a containment zone from 6 pm on April 9 till 6 am on April 19. All the borders of the district will remain sealed during this period," the DM said.
