Kerala confirms another death due to coronavirus, state's toll rises to 9
Kerala on Friday confirmed another casualty due to the novel coronavirus after a youth who was under surveillance succumbed to the virus at Alappuhza Medical college on May 29 afternoon. The man was 39-year-old and hailed from Pandanad village in Alappuzha.
According to Medical College Authorities, the patient had returned to the state from Abu Dhabi last week and shifted to an institutional quarantine center. He was under treatment for liver Cirrhosis and later developed complications. He was shifted to Alappuzha Medical college on May 29 morning where he died at 3:30 pm.
"Anti-body test confirmed Covid infections and his body will be buried following Covid protocol," the health official told India Today TV.
The 39-year-old is the second youngest person to die due to Covid-19 in the state.
