Upcoming Noida international airport to be connected with Delhi-Mumbai expressway
The upcoming airport at the Jewar area of Greater Noida is likely to be connected with the much-awaited Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The Expressway is passing just 31 kilometers away from the upcoming airport from the Ballabhgarh city of Haryana. The Uttar Pradesh and Haryana governments have agreed to construct a road to link the two areas. While seven kilometers of this stretch is in Uttar Pradesh, 24 kilometers of the stretch of this proposed road is to be constructed in Haryana.
"Both the state governments will identify land and after the acquisition process, it will be handed over to the national highway authority of India (NHAI) for further construction," said a senior officer at the Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
