2G internet services to be restored in all districts of J&K from midnight
The 2G internet services will be restored in all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir from midnight.
Access shall be limited only on whitelisted sites and social media applications will continue to remain out of bounds for the Valley's residents.
The 2G mobile internet services were earlier restored in all ten districts of Jammu and two districts of Kashmir, Kupwara, and Bandipora.
Further, voice call and SMS services have been restored for all pre-paid connections across the Union Territory, the principal secretary of J&K administration Rohit Kansal had said earlier.
Telecom services were shut in the entire Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 when the Centre abrogated the special status to the erstwhile state and also bifurcated it into two Union Territories.
