After pilots threaten to 'stop work', Air India agrees to vaccinate all employees

The Indian Express

National carrier Air India Tuesday said it will vaccinate all its employees against Covid-19 by the end of May, news agency ANI quoted the airline's spokesperson as saying. This comes after the pilots' union of Air India threatened to stop work if the airline's management fails to vaccinate all flying crew above 18 years of age on priority.

In a statement, Captain T Praveen Keerthi, general secretary of Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA), raised the issue with Air India Director Captain R S Sandhu, claiming that the management has left the flying crew 'vulnerable'.
