Jammu & Kashmir: Islamic State claims responsibility for attack on CRPF in Anantnag district
Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir: The Islamic State terror group has claimed the responsibility for a grenade attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Tuesday. One jawan was killed and another injured in the attack.
The attack took place around 5:50 pm, when a militant hurled the grenade at a CRPF patrolling party in Anantnag's Bijbehara in which Head Constable Shiv Lal Neetam lost his life. The officials said he received splinter injuries and were rushed to a local hospital where the jawan was declared brought dead.
