India vs Australia: When a kite stopped play in Mumbai ODI
India's fall of wickets against a lethal Australian attack in the first ODI in Mumbai was delayed by few moments when a kite landed on the field at the Wankhede Stadium, Tuesday.
India failed to hold their wickets together in the 3-match ODI series opener as they suffered a middle-order batting collapse. After the 121-run stand between Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul was broken by Ashton Agar, India lost their momentum and wickets started to fall in bunches. India lost wickets of Rahul, Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer for just 30 runs.
Rishabh Pant (28) and Ravindra Jadeja (25) shared 49 runs for the 6th wicket to save India from sinking further, but it was only for a while, as the duo got dismissed in consecutive overs.
