Joker box office collection Day 7: Joaquin Phoenix's film earns Rs 32.7 crore
That Todd Phillips's directorial venture Joker is still holding its ground, even with two major Indian films running parallel in theatres (War and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy), is commendable. And credit for that goes to Joaquin Phoenix, who has essayed the lead role of the villainous clown in the film. The Phoenix-starrer, which hit the screens on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), has earned Rs 32.7 crore in its first week and is edging towards the Rs 50-crore club.
On Day 1, Joker made Rs 5.15 crore at the box office. The next day saw a slight decline in the collection of the film as it earned Rs 3.35 crore, Rs 1.8 crore lesser than its opening day. The psychological thriller collected Rs 3.65 crore, Rs 5.25 crore, Rs 5.6 crore, Rs 4.35 crore, Rs 5.35 crore on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, respectively, bringing its total box office collection to Rs 32.7 crore in Week 1.
