Bihar: Groom dead, 95 guests who attended wedding test positive for coronavirus in Patna

India Today

Over 90 people who were part of a wedding at a Patna village have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The 30-year-old groom, a software engineer in Gurugram, had died two days after tying the knot.

He was, however, cremated without being tested for Covid-19 even though he was symptomatic.

After the district administration in Patna was informed of the groom's death at a village in Paliganj, 50 km from Patna, close relatives of the couple were tested. As many as 15 people who had attended the wedding celebrations on June 15 tested positive.
