Coronavirus: With 150 new cases, Maharashtra's Covid-19 tally exceeds 1,000; death toll mounts to 64
Mumbai: With 150 new cases of coronavirus, the total number of infected persons in Maharashtra climbed to 1,018, the state health department said on Tuesday. As many as 12 people lost their lives due to the infection in the today, taking the death toll in the state to 64.
Of new cases detected today, 116 were reported in Mumbai alone, while Pune reported 18 cases, three each from Ahmednagar, Nagpur and Aurangabad, two each from Thane and Buldana, and one each from Satara, Ratnagiri, and Sangli, said a health department official.
Maharashtra has been the worst-hit by the pandemic as it became the first state in the country to register more than 1,000 coronavirus cases.
