Delhi: SDMC intensifies drive against property tax defaulters, seals 18 properties

Intensifying its ongoing drive against property tax defaulters, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Tuesday sealed 18 commercial properties over non-payment of an outstanding amount of Rs 1.15 crore. The action was initiated under Section 123D of DMC Act as the Assessment and Collection Department took suo moto cognizance.

The Assessor and Collector Department, South Zone, took action against commercial properties at MG Road in Ghitorni area of Aya Nagar Ward as the owners of these properties have failed to deposit the property tax. The Department had earlier served notices for outstanding amount following which action was initiated.
