New Delhi | Jagran Business Desk: The Public Provident Fund (PPF) is considered to be one of the most popular investments across the country. A person can invest up to Rs 1.50 lakh in the PPF account for a tenure of up to 15 years and can get good interest rates in return. In compliance with the Central government's scheme, the PPF account gives guaranteed returns that are higher than the returns in other low-risk products. A depositor has to submit a sum of Rs 500 in a year in order to keep the account active. The account becomes inactive if the sum is not submitted by the due date.
