Amar Singh dies at 64: From reigning Samajwadi Party to ties with Bachchans, life and times of the RS MP
Former Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh passed away at the age of 64 on Saturday evening in Singapore after a prolonged illness. Amar Singh was reportedly in Singapore for a second kidney transplant.
Condolences poured in for the former Rajya Sabha member who died on Saturday after facing health-related issues for over a decade.
Union Defence Minister Rajanth Singh expressed his condolences on Amar Singh's death. In a tweet, Rajnath Singh said he is saddened to hear about the death of Amar Singh. "He had friendly relations with all political parties."
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also took to Twitter to pay his condolences and tribute to Amar Singh.
