National Investigation Agency to probe attack on TMC minister Jakir Hossain

The National Investigation Agency will probe the blast in Murshidabad's Nimtita Railway Station in which West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain and over 20 others were injured, MHA sources told India Today.

The West Bengal government had handed over the investigation to the state CID, which last week arrested two persons in connection with the blast.

The blast occurred when Hossain, Trinamool Congress MLA and the minister of state for labour, was going to board a train to Kolkata at the Nimtita railway station on February 17. Hossain suffered serious injuries on his legs and lower abdominal portion.
