Tamil Nadu Election 2021: A tactical alliance at the time of reassertion of Dravidian identity

India Today

Tamil Nadu is gearing up for the Assembly election in the state. The process of filing nominations in the state will start from 12 March but the two main Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu - the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), are still struggling to finalise their seats sharing with allies.

AIADMK and DMK are assessing the pros and cons of the seat-sharing with allies, mainly national parties - BJP and Congress, in the state Assembly election where regional issues are dominant.
